What's in an Avlea kit?
Each Avlea kit is made by hand in my studio in Central Oregon with specialty folk embroidery fabrics for an authentic folk embroidery stitching experience. I cut the fabric and serge the raw edges to prevent pesky loose threads while you're stitching. I then hand-wind DMC cotton embroidery floss and add full-color charts and instructions along with a John James needle. My kits give you the opportunity to experience folk embroidery with the kind of fabrics that have been used for centuries!

It's been an absolute joy to stitch -- it's quick, easy, meditative, and I love the geometric designs that play with negative space.
